2616215 - Resource->rproccache_spin spinlock contention in ASE 16.0 - SAP ASE

Symptom

When multiple inserts with similar values are happening on a table with column of numeric datatype:

  • Procedure cache can fill up
  • Spinlock contention on the statement cache can be observerd
  • The statement cache is full of duplicate statements
  • Contention in the rproccache_spin spinlock:
