2616244 - Custom token field label is not displaying in Insert Token screen - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When inserting email token, label of field mapped to custom token is not displaying.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Within Recruiting Management system, go to any page that allows editing an email body.
  2. Rich Text Editor buttons are available in the email body section. Click on 3 dots button and choose "Insert Token".
  3. In the token search screen that appears, search for keyword "custom".
  4. Notice that label of field mapped to custom token is not displaying.

Cause

The behavior occurs when the field mapped to custom token is either:

  • Not configured or defined in the required templates
  • The field is configured, but "field id" is in incorrect format (standard field ID is case sensitive)

Resolution

  • Before mapping a field id to a custom token, ensure that the field is defined in the Recruiting template (Job Requisition, Job Application, Candidate Profile, Offer Detail).
  • The field ID is case sensitive, so ensure that for standard fields configured, the correct field id format is followed.
