Symptom

  • alter login shows:
    Msg 11190, Level 16, State 8:
    Server 'ASE', Line 1:
    Login script 'login_trigger' is invalid.
    Msg 11188, Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'ASE', Line 1:
    Cannot alter login.
  • sp_modify login shows:
    Msg 18898, Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'ASE', Procedure 'sp_modifylogin', Line 626:
    Login script 'incident' is not valid.
    (return status = 1)
