2616327 - FBP system roles still displayed after disabling FBP

Symptom

Field Based Permissions system roles are still being displayed even though Field Based Permissions in Compensation are disabled.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core
  • Talent Management
  • Compensation

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enable RBP in provisioning.
  2. Go to Manage Permission Role List page and make sure there's no FBP system role displayed.
  3. Go to Comp Home->Open a Comp Template->Settings->Enable FBP and grant to all roles->Save.
  4. Go back to Manage Permission Role list and observe that 6 FBP system roles are displayed there.
  5. Now Go to Comp Home->Open a Comp Template->Settings->Disable FBP>Save.
  6. Observe that FBP System role still displayed there even thought FBP is disabled.

Resolution

  • This is the expected behavior of the system.
  • We need to keep the "permissions by role" settings on column after we disable the FBP.
