With 1802 the Data Protection and Privacy Features are generally available for Customers.

The expanded data protection and privacy to address the General Data Protection Regulation and help ensure regulatory compliance on data privacy laws.

Note:

• The application doesn’t support Read Audit for Sensitive Personal Data. All such data should be removed from the application data model.
• The links in this page require Help Portal or SF Community access.
• LMS+BIRT means reports run on LMS source only

Important Information

• Product Support will not configure any Data Protection and Privacy feature for customers. The tools are provided to customers so they can set their system to be compliant with Data Protection and Privacy laws globally. If the customer needs help in planning any configurations, please advise the customer to engage with SAP Professional Services or their Implementation Partner.
• It is the customers responsibility to be compliant with regulations. SAP is providing the tools for the customer to meet the compliance requirements
• Product Support will not offer any Legal Guidance or advice on Data Protection and Privacy.
• Not all the Data Protection and Privacy  features will be available and supported by the current reporting Tools (Dashboards & Tiles, ARB, ORD, Advanced Reporting, ARB + BIRT, LMS + BIRT, WFA and Classic Reports)
• In order to increase compliance with data protection and privacy laws, we strongly recommend that you disable all classic reporting tools and replace them with Ad Hoc reports and Online Report Designer reports.
  At the very least, you need to ensure that no sensitive fields appear in the classic reporting tools. For more information, see:
