• You create a new Service Order.
• You add an item with the item type SHIP - Spare part (advanced ship/sales) and you receive the error message ‘Item XXX: Products w/ item group Spare part (advanced ship/sales) not supported for location of srv provision Supplier Service Center.’ (where XXX stands for the item type)

SAP Business by Design

1. Go to the Service Orders Work Centre.
2. Choose New Service Order from the Common Task list.
3. Navigate to the Items Tab.
4. Add an item with the item type SHIP - Spare part (advanced ship/sales).

You receive the error message: 'Item XXX: Products w/ item group Spare part (advanced ship/sales) not supported for location of srv provision Supplier Service Center.’

The item type SHIP - Spare part (advanced ship/sales) is not supported for Service location Supplier.
