Symptom
When two formula accounts are created of the type X=A*B, Y=C*D, and D is a formula of type "=A" then the value of Y will be twice the value of X
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud 2018.4.0
Reproducing the Issue
Create account dimension members such as follows:
A01 Gross Sales
A0101 Regular
A010102 Quantity
A010103 Unit Price
A0102 Special
A010202 Quantity
A010203 Unit Price
A04 Actual Amount
Formulas:
A0101 - [A010102]*[A010103]
A0102 - [A010202]*[A010203]
A010203 - [A010103]
Note that formula for A0101 and A0102 are essentially the same, but that A010203 is taking the value of A010103 via formula. This seems to cause the doubling of the value for A0102 when compared to A0101
Cause
This issue was due to an issue in the binary for the EPM code
Resolution
This issue has been resolved as of wave 2018.05
