2617042 - SELECT queries on COVP, COEP are slow - SAP ASE for Business Suite

Symptom

SAP transactions and programs accessing the view, COVP and table, COEP are found to be very slow. A single select statement on view COVP is identified -

SELECT DISTINCT * FROM "COVP"
WHERE "MANDT" = ? AND "LEDNR" = ? AND "OBJNR" IN ( ? ) AND "GJAHR" BETWEEN ? AND ? AND "WRTTP" = ? AND "VERSN" = ?
