2617566 - "Root element xxx does not exist in the target namespace" - SLD Registration Error

Symptom

While registering a system in System Landscape Directory (SLD), following error message is showing up in the SLD log (Note 1235043 - SLD support information download):


   #nn <date> <time> [SLD Data Supplier Processing] ERROR com.sap.lcr.sagent.genericbuilder.GenericBuilderImpl: Error while processing supplied data: CIM_ERR_FAILED: Root element <XXX> does not exist in the target namespace..

   Thrown:
   com.sap.sld.api.wbem.exception.CIMException: CIM_ERR_FAILED: Root element <xxx> does not exist in the target namespace.
