2618602 - Report Production Variance Details, Variance Does not Represent Standard Cost Minus Actual Cost

When you select the Report 'Production Variance Details' with the View : 'Standard/Actual by Materials', you realise that the difference between Actual Cost and Standard Cost is different than the amount in the column Variance.

1. Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to the Report-List view.
3. Select the Report Production Variance Details.
4. Select the View Standard/Actual by Materials.

You see the column: Actual Cost - Standard Cost - Variance. However, the difference between Actual Cost and Standard Cost is different than the amount in the column Variance.

The Standard Cost in the Report is calculated based on the inputs involved whereas the Variance is based on the Standard Output Cost.

The Standard Output Cost is calculated based on the Material Cost Estimate * Confirmed Quantity/Costing Quantity. It can as well be calculated based on the Report by Actual Cost minus Variance.

The system is working as expected.
