2618652 - Sybase IQ to ASE proxy tables failing

Symptom

  • Customer is getting below error when trying to connect from production IQ server to ASE server.
  • It had previously worked.

    SQL Anywhere Error -656: Unable to connect to server: [ASE ODBC Driver]Error encountered while setting up security context
    Connection details in IQ for ASE are:

    select * from sys.sysserver
    go
    srvid                   srvname         srvclass       srvinfo                                                                                                                                                                                                                         srvreadonly

  • Now any remote calls from IQ to ASE fail with the above error.

  • After upgrade, it started failing.
