2618951 - Error Message E-mail Address is Invalid: Not listed in Allowed Email Domain

Symptom

When trying to send a sales quote via E-Mail getting error message: E-mail Address is Invalid: Not Listed in Allowed Email Domain.

This error may also appears when sending other business document like purchase orders.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

In SAP Cloud for Customer:

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Select the Sales Quotes view.
  3. Open Sales quote ABC (ABC represents sales quote ID).
  4. Click on the Actions button.
  5. Click on Submit button.

In SAP Business ByDesign:

  1. Go to the New Business work center.
  2. Select the Sales Quotes view.
  3. Choose Sales quote ABC (ABC represents sales quote ID) and click edit.
  4. Click You Can Also and choose Edit Outputting Settings.
  5. Change the Send By field to E-Mail.

The error message "E-mail address is invalid: Not listed in allowed email domain." occurs.

Cause

  • The DKIM key is not request for the sender e-mail domain.
  • The domain is not listed as allowed e-mail domain.

Resolution

In SAP Cloud for Customer:

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Select the Sales Quotes view.
  3. Open Sales Quote ABC (ABC represents sales quote id).
  4. Go to Involved Parties tab.
  5. Here Party role Sales Unit has e-mail address example@example.com (example@example.com represents e-mail address).

In SAP Business ByDesign:

  1. Go to the New Business work center.
  2. Select the Sales Quotes view.
  3. Choose Sales quote ABC (ABC represents sales quote id) and click edit.
  4. Click You Can Also and choose Edit Outputting Settings.
  5. Change the Send By field to E-Mail.
  6. Go to the end of the pop-up page.
  7. Here Sender E-mail Address has e-mail address example@example.com (example@example.com represents e-mail address).

Now follow the below steps:

  1. Check whether DKIM key is activated for the domain of the e-mail address. If not, go to Step 2. If the DKIM key is already activated, go to Step 3.
  2. Create a Case with the component SRD-CC-CI-CCS (for SAP Business ByDesign) or LOD-CRM-ADM (for SAP Cloud for Customer) or change the sender whose domain is DKIM activated. 
  3. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  4. Select the Overview view.
  5. Search for the configuration element E-Mail and Fax Settings and open it.
  6. Click on the hyperlink E-Mail and Fax Settings.
  7. Click the Add button in Allowed Sender E-Mail Domains.
  8. Enter the example.com (example.com represents the domain)
  9. Click the Save and Close button.

The sales quote can now be sent via e-mail to any e-mail address with this domain.
