2619410 - Unable to bind login to sp_tempdb and produce Msg 3917 - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Attempting to bind login name to a newly created database
  • Msg 3917, Level 16, State 1
    Server 'ASE', Procedure 'sp_multdb_bind', Line 441:
    An attempt was made to startup a multi-database update in database 'master'
    after starting up the master transaction in a temporary database. This could
    render the database 'master' unrecoverable and this update is therefore not
    allowed.
    (return status = -6)
