2621483 - Opening Analysis for Office Analysis Plug-in report via BPF fails with error "Could not connect"

Symptom

You try to open an Analysis for Office - Analysis Plug-in report via a BPC Business Process Flow (BPF), but get an SAP NW logon screen.
Then the following errors are seen:

  • "Could not connect"
  • Logon dialogue was closed.

The report may be loaded correctly.
You may run into the same error when launching the EPM Add-in from the link in the right bottom corner of BPC Web.

This error may also appear in the trace file:

  • Trace.BPFPlugIn|BPFPlugIn.Services.Session.BpcConnectDelegate.DoTask|VSTA_Main|Couldn't connect.System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
