2621827 - Adhoc notification for users

Symptom

A notification needs to be sent to a group of users that have not yet completed an item assigned to them.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Resolution

  1. Log into HCM >
  2. Navigate to Learning Administration >
  3. At Learning Activities > Items > search for the item the notification needs to be sent for and open its record >
  4. At the 'Actions' button, click on 'Send Email Notification' >
  5. As the wizard has been triggered from the item's record, the item details will already be populated >
  6. If needed, other items can be selected as well at the 'Add an Item to the Criteria' section >
  7. Once the required items are selected, click on 'Next' >.
  8. Choose which users should be selected, considering the target group. For example, for users that have not yet completed the item: choose Assignment Type as 'Any Type' and Completion Status as 'No Completion Status' > click on 'Next' >
  9. All users that meet the criteria selected will be listed at the 'Update Users' section >
  10. If needed, additional users can be selected at the 'Add Users to Criteria' section >
  11. Once the required users are selected, click on 'Next' >
  12. At the last step, select an existing notification template or write the notification manually >
  13. Once the message is in place, click on 'Send Email Notification'.

Important:

Please note that not all notification tokens are supported when sending Ad Hoc notifications. For more details, please check the KBA 2347182 - Supported Tags when sending Adhoc emails from 'Send Notification' functionality.
