2622237 - Updating Pay Component External Codes

We have changed the external codes of our pay components and now all the associated data in users compensation information has disappeared

Employee Central - Foundation Objects

1. Admin Centre > Manage Organisation Pay and Job Structures

2. Find a Pay Component

3. Click Take Action

4. Change the External Code > Save

Pay Component External Codes should not be changed after they have been associated to Profiles

Engineering are planning to put code to block updates of Pay Component External Codes. Engineering are looking into fixing this in the 1805 release but this is not confirmed as of yet

Once we know when this is confirmed, we will communicate this in this KBA
