Symptom

  • OOM Dump causes Java application servers to crash
  • instances of "com.sybase.jdbc4.tds.PduInputFormatter", loaded by "com.sap.engine.boot.loader.ResourceMultiParentClassLoader @ 0x58e59778" occupy 50% or higher memory.
  • Long lock wait time in:
    UPDATE "CBS_LOCK" SET "LOCKIT" = "LOCKIT" + 1 WHERE "LOCKGROUP" = ? AND "LOCKID" = ?
