2623396 - Sales and Use Tax Tab not Available in Account Determination

You are trying to post a Customer or Supplier Invoice and you receive an error message/ exception: 'Account determination is missing for position type Sales Tax. Specify account determination in chart of accounts Chart of Accounts and account determination profile XXX. Column Path Tax->Sales and Use Tax->Sales and Use Tax, Position Type Sales Tax'.

But when checking the Account Determination Profile the Sales and Use tax tab is not available.

XXX - Account Determination Profile.

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Overview view.
3. Select the Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination activity.
4. Under Account Determination.
5. Select Tax.

There is no Sales and Use Tax tab.

To view the Sales and Use Tax tab you have to make sure that all the countries using these two taxes are configured in the system, for example US, India.

To make the Sales and Use tab available you need to assign the respective country to the Account Determination Profile:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Overview view.
3. Select the Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination activity.
4. Under Account Determination.
5. Select Tax.
6. Click Assign Countries to Profile.
7. Add the desired countries.

Now the Sales and Use Tax tab will be showing under Tax Account Determination.
