2623752 - You Are Not Able to Change the Description of Sales Order Item

Symptom

You are not able to change the desciption of a sales order item. The Desciption field is read only.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
  2. Select the Sales Orders view.
  3. Open sales order XYZ (XYZ represents the ID of the sales order).
  4. Navigate to the Items tab.
  5. The Desciption field is read only for the respective item.

Cause

Once the fulfilment status of a Sales Order item is In Process the description cannot be changed anymore.

Resolution

This is the expected system behaviour.
