2623948 - Error Message When Trying to Confirm a Pick Task as Planned

When you are trying to confirm the pick task XXX using Confirm as Planned button the system throws the error message:

Warehouse task XXX cannot be confirmed as planned; check execution details

XXX = Pick Task ID.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Select the Task Control view.
3. Search for the pick task XXX.
4. Select the pick task XXX.
5. Choose Confirm as Planned.

You face the error message:

Warehouse task XXX cannot be confirmed as planned; check execution details

As there is no stock available in the warehouse the system throws error message when you select the button Confirm as Planned. Further, in order to execute Confirm as Planned, you need to make sure that for the Task ID, the Source Logistics Area is filled up correctly under the Execution Details tab. If the Source Logistics Area is not filled up in the column, then it means that at the time of creation of the pick task there was no stock available or the logistics model is not correctly defined which will result in error when trying to confirm the task. At the time of outbound task creation, there was no stock available and later stock was made available for the product in the warehouse, even in this case, the Source Logistics Area will not be filled automatically in the pick task, unless we select the Confirm button. Also, the Confirm as planned option will not work when the total required stock is available but stock needs to be fulfilled from multiple Identified Stocks.

You can select the Confirm button instead Confirm as Planned by following the steps:

1. Go to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Select the Task Control view.
3. Search for the pick task XXX.
4. Select the pick task XXX.
5. Choose Confirm.
6. Enter the Actual Quantity and other required information.
7. Choose Save
