2623967 - Combination Column & Line Chart Does Not Sync Scale When Axis Set to Auto in SAP Analytics Cloud.

In a Combination Column (or Stacked Column) & Line Chart, the column and line do not sync scale when the axis Minimum/Maximum is set to Auto in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

SAP Analytics Cloud.

1. Create a Story in SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Insert a Combination Column (or Stacked Column) & Line Chart.
3. Leave the axis Minimum and Maximum set to Auto.
   >>Observe that the Column axis and the Line axis are not synchronized in scale.

Use of the Chart Scaling feature is required to synchronize bar and line scaling.

• To set "Chart Scaling" on a chart in SAP Analytics Cloud in classic design mode:

1. 1. Clear any setting that could prevent Chart Scaling from applying:
      1. 1.1 Select the chart and click the "Edit Axis" button on the action menu
      2. 1.2 Reset all the axes ranges to “auto” button on the action menu
      3. 1.3 Turn off the “Dynamically scale min/max” toggle if it is on and visible
      4. 1.4 Select the chart and click "Styling" in the Designer side panel
      5. 1.5 Turn off the “Break Scale” toggle if it is on and visible
           
   2. Enable Chart Scaling
      1. 2.1 Scale the desired Chart axes together by clicking the "Chart Scaling" icon.
      2. 2.2 Select the measure(s) in the chart to have them scale together.
           

• Note:
  • Chart-Scaling is not applied in Full-screen mode, and Explorer View mode.

• One other option is to switch to Optimized Design Mode and use the Synchronize Axis in a Dual-Axis chart feature (See help documentation here)
