2624405 - The "type ahead" search results are garbled / truncated

Symptom

Press the "Open" button in the project dashboard and start typing in popup field "Project Number". If the type-ahead functionality has been activated at system level, the application will display search results based on what you have typed up to now. The results are garbled/nonsense.
