Symptom

Error message: Resource used by REPM production segment is triggered when trying to remove a Resource from a Logistics Area.

Environment

SAP Business Bydesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data.
  2. Go to Location view.
  3. Select the relevant Site ID.
  4. Click Edit Layout.
  5. Select the relevant Logistics Area.
  6. Navigate to Resources Tab.
  7. Select the relevant Resource and click Remove.
  8. system returns the error message: Resource used by REPM production segment.

Cause

Once a Resouce has been used in any versions of a released Execution Production Model (REPM), it cannot be removed.

Resolution

As a workaround, you can block the resource or set it as obsolete.
