2625020 - Quote for Contract Opens When Follow-Up Contract is Completed

• You have created a contract as follow-up for a Quote for Contract, which set the Quote for Contract in status "Completed".
• Upon cancellation of the Follow-Up Contract, the Quote for Contract reopens.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Create Quote for Contract ABC (ABC represents the ID of the Quote for Contract).
2. Create a Follow-Up Contract DEF (DEF represents the ID of the Contract) from Quote ABC and release it.
3. Navigate to the Sales Quote View in the New Business work center.
4. When you find Quote ABC, it will be in status Completed.
5. Open Contract DEF.
6. Navigate to the Items Tab.
7. Select any Line Item and select a Reason for Rejection.
8. Wait until the created Cancellation Task is processed and the Line Item is in Status Completed in the Contract.
9. Navigate to the Sales Quote View in the New Business work center.
10. When you find Quote ABC, it will be in status In Process/Open.

• Quotes for Contract only remain in status Completed if the line items from the quote in the follow-up contract are completed.
• If one Line Item is cancelled, the Quote for Contract will be open again.
• If a Line Item is removed, the Quote for Contract will be open again.

This is the expected system behaviour.

1. In order to avoid opening quotes, the line items in the follow-up contract cannot be cancelled.
2. The line items need to be completed by automatically created Business Tasks, that are triggered, when a contract is created.

This behaviour applies also for service and sales quotes, where in the follow up order line items are cancelled.
