Symptom
Until 2H 2023 release, when a requisition is created from Position Org Chart, Due Date defaults to system date when requisition is created. It ignores the settings in Admin Center > Form Template Settings.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Cause
This is incorrect behavior and is not consistent to the behavior when requisition is created from Job Requisitions > Create New option. Here, Due Date of requisition is calculated according to the settings in Admin Center > Form Template Settings.
Resolution
On 1H 2024 Release, this behavior has been corrected. Now, requisitions created from Position Org Chart will calculate Due Date according to the settings in Admin Center > Form Template Settings.
Behavior of Due Date field is now consistent in both methods of creating job requisitions (via Job Requisition > Create New or Position Org Chart).
Is it still possible to set the Due Date to be equal to Creation Date?Yes. Below are the options:
Option 1:
If you wish the Due Date to be equal to Creation Date, you may set to zero(0) the number of days from Creation Date in Form Template Settings. This will impact requistions created using both methods.
Option 2:
If you want this for requisitions created through Postion Org Chart only, you may update the business rule for position-requisition field mapping.
First, follow the steps in the KBA 2448421 to define the "formDueDate" field in the Job requisition template. This will capture the due date on requisition.
Once this field is defined in the requisition template, you can map the "formDueDate" field in a requisition from the position org chart through the business rule mapping in Admin Center > Position Management Settings > Integration > Field Mapping Rule to Create Job Requisition from Position. Please see the below image for configuring the rule:
Once this is done, go to Admin Center > ODATA API Metadata Refresh and Export and press the Refresh button to complete the setup.
