2625499 - Microsoft SQL Server: Collation name not removed when column data type is changed - SAP PD

Symptom

  • PowerDesigner (PD) does not remove the collation name associated to a char or varchar column when the data type is changed to int.
  • The COLLATE clause can be applied only for the char, varchar, text, nchar, nvarchar, and ntext data types. 
  • An error is returned when the generated SQL is executed: 

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Expression type int is invalid for COLLATE clause
