2626107 - How to execute task list SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_WRK_CLIENT

Symptom

  • To configure your SAP Enterprise Search, you need to create your search connectors using task list SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_WRK_CLIENT in STC01 transaction.

  • With release SAP_BASIS 751 and 750 SP4 onwards, it is no longer necessary to import the ESH models via client 000 (SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_000_CLIENT). ESH setup is carried out in the working client(s) only. So it means that you only need to execute task list SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_WRK_CLIENT in your working client and not SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_000_CLIENT in client 000.

  • These search connectors are client specific. If you want to create the search connectors in multiple clients, you need to run SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_WRK_CLIENT in each client.
