Time Type Group used as UI component on Time Valuation is not displayed on Time Sheet UI.
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Sheet
Reproducing the Issue
Scenario: Time Type Group are used as UI components in time valuation of the employee's time recording profile.
- Go to Time Off section on employee's People Profile then click on Go to Time Sheet link.
2. Record working times that exceeds employee's planned working hours. UI components are not displayed.
Cause
- Time sheet is unable to valuate time type groups due to mandatory custom field(s) that are not filled on the employee time sheet entry.
- Defining custom fields as required fields is not supported as required properties are not set for fields in the standard delivery of Payroll Time Sheet feature. See notes in section 'creating custom fields in employee time sheet' of Employee Central Payroll Time Sheet Implementation Guide.
Resolution
- Go to Admin Center > Configure Object Definitions.
- Click on Take Action > Make Correction then click Details link of the custom field.
- Change Required property of custom field(s) on Employee Time Sheet Entry Object Definition to 'No' then save the changes.
4. If no mandatory fields defined for the Employee Time Sheet Entry object definition, time type groups are valuated properly and will be shown on Time Sheet UI.
