2626462 - "Dereferencing of the NULL reference" error in dashboards based on BW OLAP connection

When using BW queries from an OLAP connection as data source:

• Case 1: When a prompt value is chosen on the dashboard, an error screen will appear with “The application does not exist” or the message “Value <value> for variable <variable> is not valid and has been discarded” will appear.
• Case 2: An error screen will appear with “Termination message sent ABED RS_EXCEPTION (000): Dereferencing of the NULL reference" when opening a dashboard.

 On both cases, the following can be seen on the logs:
