2626703 - Time Off Balances not Displaying the correct balance after requesting a leave

Symptom

You noticed that if there are future dated leave requests (already approved), the Time Off Balances are not displaying the balance correctly.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

The employee has a future dated leave:

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Employee File
  2. Go to Time Off session
  3. See that the balance values are not considering the future dated leaves.

Cause

Expected behavior

Resolution

The "Time Off Balances" session follows the date of the profile.

This means that if the profile is defined to be as of today, then the expected behavior is to ignore that future leave request because that balance is not active yet.

To view the correct balance, you should change the effective date of the profile.
