2626950 - No Access To Maintain Business Roles or Maintain Business Users

Symptom

After making changes to the BR_ADMINISTRATOR role, administrators can no longer access the administration apps

Environment

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. As an administrator with the BR_ADMINISTRATOR role, launch the Maintain Business Roles app
  2. Make a change to the BR_ADMINISTRATOR role (for example remove a catalog from the role)
  3. Save the role but do not activate it
  4. Refreshing or relaunching the Fiori Launchpad will mean that the users no longer have access to the administration apps

Cause

  • The role has entered the status of In Preparation
  • Without access the administration apps there is no way to fix this

Resolution

  • Development is aware of this potential issue that can occur
  • For now, an case must be created to request that the role is reactivated
