2627099 - Serial Inventory Data Source is Empty

Symptom

You open the Data Source SERIAL_INV (Serial Inventory), and see that no data is shown.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Analytics WorkCenter.
  2. Data Sources View.
  3. Preview Data Source ID 'SERIAL_INV'.
  4. The following message appears: 'No report data available to display; check the selection'.

Cause

One of the reason could be that the products mapped to the registered products has 'Optional serial number assignment' as the serial number profile.

Only the products who have serial number profile as "Mandatory on all Logistics & Production Processes" will have their serial numbers mapped to inventory and be available in the the data source SERIAL_INV. Serial numbers of products with any other serial number profile will not be available in the above data source.

Resolution

The system is working as designed
