Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Home Workcenter.
  2. Go to Self Services Overview.
  3. Click Go Shopping (Advanced).
  4. In the Select Products step, click the affected External Catalog and go to the Supplier's website.
  5. Add the necessary product(s) to the shopping cart.
  6. In the Supplier Website's shopping cart, click Submit.
  7. Back in the SAP shopping cart, notice the missing/incorrect values.

Cause

This happens because you need to Configure and Scope into your Implementation Project the Activity Define Catalog Defaults.

This Activity complements the main activity External Catalogs.

  1. Go to Business Configuration Workcenter.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects View.
  3. Select the Project and click Open Activity List.
  4. In the new screen, go to Fine-Tune step and search for Default Values for Supplier Catalogs.
  5. Open it and click Append.
  6. On the new row, select the affected External Catalog and define the default Supplier ID and the default Product Category.
