2628044 - Time Release Error 'Accounting Period Closed on DD.MM.YYYY Please Contact Accounting Department'

You are releasing time for an Employee and you get the error message 'Accounting period closed on DD.MM.YYYY please contact accounting department'

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
2. Go to the Time Recording view.
3. Go to the Time Sheet subview.
4. Find the relevant Employee.
5. Click View Time Sheet.
6. Select the time you want to release.
7. Click the Release button.

Error message 'Accounting period closed on DD.MM.YYYY please contact accounting department' is displayed.

You have checked the Process Control for the Employee's Company and postings are allowed.

The Project related to the time you want to release is linked to a different Company than the Employee.

Set up the Process Control for the Project's Company accordingly, then you will be able to release the time.
