2628095 - Position Relationship Permissions to Edit Positions

How does the Position Permission work for Position Relationships, for example when you restrict permissions to permissions based on the Matrix Relationship hierarchy?

A HR Manager hired into a Matrix Manager Position is unable to update their matrix report positions, which do not have a record on or after their hire date.

This is expected behavior.

The position permissions take into account the effective date.  You will only be able to edit position records which your position is listed as a Matrix Relationship and have an effective date on or after your hire date.

This means unless you have an alternative permission role, you will not be able to update any records on a position you are a Matrix Relationship for, prior to you being hired as the Matrix Manager.

If you are unable to search for certain positions at all, this means that they do not have a record on of after you hire date and so will require a record to be inserted on after the hire date.
