Symptom

  • Upgrade to ASE 16.0 SP03 PL01 from ASE 15.7 SP137, ASE shuts down with many infected messages and procedure cache related errors.
  • Some or all of the following errors maybe reported in the ASE errorlog.
  • Error: 551, Severity: 20, State: 2, report the following stack functions:
    LeRun
    LeEvals::LeEvRun
    LeUpdateOp::_LeOpNext
    LeEmitNoSndOp::_LeOpNext
    LePlanNext
  • Error: 718, Severity: 20, State: 1 and Error: 719, Severity: 20, State: 1, report the following stack functions:
    memalloc
    mk_root
    mkstep
    addstep
    yyparse
  • Multiple "Current process infected with signal 11"  messages include the following stack functions:
    • LeOrScanContext::sortVtuple
      LeOrScanContext::setOrVtuple
      LeOrScanOp::_LeOpOpen
      LeSortContext::Open
      LeSortOp::_LeOpOpen
      LeDMLOp::printXMLCostMetrics

    • kisignal
      (nil)
      LePlanAcquire
      exec_lava
    • memalloc
      LeDMLOp::printXMLCostMetrics
      LeOperator::getPlanFragmentSize
      LeAPScanOp::_LeOpAcquire
  • Current process infected with signal 4 message include the following stack functions:
