2628959 - Rule to Compare Pay Component Amounts

Symptom

How to configure a rule so that Pay Component 1 value should not be greater than X% of Pay Component 2 value. If it is greater, then throw an error message.

Consider :

Pay Component 1 = HRA

Pay Component 2 = Basic

X% = 60%

Environment

Employee Central : Compensation Information

Resolution

Configure a rule as below with base object as Compensation Information (compInfo).

  1. In the below example Compensation Information is CompInfo and Compensation is payComponentRecurring.
