2629403 - Report Changing Extension Field Value To 01.01.0001

Symptom

You create an extension field of type date in UI level and insert it in your report, however when no value is maintained in the field the report shows the value “01.01.0001”.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
  2. Open the report.
  3. Insert the relevant fields in the report results.
  4. Note that the value “01.01.0001” is shown on the lines which the date type extension field has no values maintained in the UI level.

Cause

The value "01.01.0001" is displayed by default in Data Source level for extension fields of date type whenever no value is maintained on this field in the UI. This behavior occurs since Data Sources cannot display "blank values" for date type fields by standard.

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior.
