Error received in Migration of Opportunities:

Opportunity is relevant for sales forecast; enter an expected value

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration workcenter.
  2. Select Overview.
  3. Search Migration of Opportunities Activity.
  4. When you execute the migration file above error message appears.

Cause

In the Business Configuration Scoping, the question Do you always classify opportunity as relevant for forecast? is checked in the ByDesign System.

Resolution

Please uncheck this question to remove the error:

  1. Go to Business Configuration workcenter
  2. Select Implementation Projects view
  3. Select the current Project and Edit
  4. Navigate to Questions tab
  5. Expand Sales
  6. Select New Business
  7. Select Opportunities
  8. Now deselect the question: Do you always classify opportunity as relevant for forecast?
