2629925 - Issues with connection to BW - Data Services

Symptom

  • Data Services connectivity issue with BW.
  • Connection test fails in BW GUI.
  • Error in RFC log on Data Services:  "

    LOCATION SAP-Gateway on host <hostname> / <gw_number>
    ERROR    registration of tp <rfc tp name> from host <DS hostanme> not allowed
    TIME    
    Component  SAP-GATEWAY
    VERSION 2
    MODULE  /bas/......./gwxxrd.c


    RFC server connection 1-<hostname>|<GW>|<tp name> catched java.lang.error"

  • Error in gateway log: Connection not allowed <DS hostname>
  • Intermittently this connection works and then fails again.
  • Restart of Data Services and the connection works again.
  • Check the gw/al_info and gw/al_mode parameters in BW.
  • The allowlist server name and the server name in Data Services log do not match.
