2630440 - Error: "Invalid XML format" in Controls after upgrading from BPC NW 10.0 to 10.1

Symptom

  • When opening some controls in BPC web client, they are empty and the validation fails with the error: "Invalid XML format".

  • The issue occurs after upgrading from BPC NW 10.0 to BPC NW 10.1 on SAP_BW 750.

  • When the error is reproduced, the messages logged in F12 HTTP debugger are:
    SCRIPT5022: Invalid XML
    XML5617: Illegal XML character
