2630509 - The Scenario Doesn't Support This Authentication Method

When creating a Communication Arrangment the following errors could be seen:

• Auth. method not supported
• The scenario doesn't support this authentication method

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Create a communication system in the Communication Systems app, specifying a new inbound communication user
2. Create a new communication arrangment in the Communication Arrangments app
3. Set the communication system of the new arrangment to the one that you created in step 1
4. At this point the user won't be selected, and if you attempt to select a user for the inbound service, you will see the errors

• Some communications scenarios only support specific authentication methods
• As an example, SAP_COM_0013 only supports OAuth2, so if the communciation user was created to use username and password, the error will occur

1. Go back to the Communication Systems app
2. Create a new user, or edit your current inbound service communication user
3. Set the authentication method to be the required authentication type for the specific communication scenario that you are using

• Create OAuth communication system and user
