2631159 - How To Revert Form Template Deletion

Symptom

The users is trying to see a Opportunity Summary and they are obtaining the error message "Document cannot be generated; form master template error".

Environment

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer 1802

Reproducing the Issue

This scenario can be extended to others business objects, however in this document will be used Opportunities and Summary Form template as example.

  1. Go to the Sales work view.
  2. Go to the Opportunities view.
  3. Click on Actions button.
  4. Click on Preview.
  5. The Business Document pop-up will open.
  6. Click on Opportunity Summary template.
  7. Click on save the file and the error message "Document cannot be generated; form master template error" will raise.

Cause

The user deleted the default form template for Opportunity Summary and for this reason, they are not able to download this one.

Resolution

To revert the deletion of form templates the user can follow the steps in order to use the default form template again:

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Go to the Business Flexibility view.
  3. Go to the Form Template Maintenance sub view.
  4. Select Deleted Forms on dropdown menu.
  5. Select under Opportunity Summary the needed form template.
  6. Click on Version.
  7. A new pop-up will open, choose “Revert To”.
  8. Click on “OK”.
  9. Go to “Not Published Forms” on dropdown menu.
  10. Publish the form summary template
