Documents related to tasks are not visible from the user side, neither to the user assigned to the task nor to the instructor/observer of the task.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

In the Learning admin side, click:

1. Content > Tasks > Search and access the desired task > Document Links > Relate the document to the task >
2. When the task is assigned to the user, neither the user assigned to the task nor to the instructor/observer of the task can see the task related document.

It was confirmed by the Learning Product Management team that the system is working as designed. The documents are a support material for the person who created and maintained the records. In instructional systems design, there is a relationship between Learning Objective-Task-Competency-Course. The system was built to support including those documents as references for the course instructional designers.

Alternatively, to have a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request created for it, where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.

As an alternative to have the task related document available to the user assigned and/or to the instructor/observer is relating the document at the item level. In the Learning admin side, click:

Learning Activities > Items > Search and access the desired item that has the given task > Document Links > Relate the document to the item.
