2631204 - Lumira Discovery Export to PDF doesn't display an SVG Image correctly

Symptom

  • After exporting a document to PDF, the PDF does not include some SVG images
  • Some images may only be partially rendered, or may appear different from the original report

Environment

  • SAP BusinessObjects Lumira 2.x 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new document
  2. Add an .svg format illustration
  3. Click "Export to PDF"

Cause

  • There are some limitations on what kinds of .svg properties can be exported to a pdf
  • 2460407 - CSS limitations with the Export PDF technical component in SAP BusinessObjects Lumira

Resolution

  1. Use another file format like JPG or PNG
  2. OR use an SVG file without problematic CSS properties as detailed in 2460407
