2631239 - Error Message in SOAP UI:Read Tme Out Error

Symptom

While executing a XML in SOAP UI ,it loads for some time and you get Error Read time out error.

Environment

Cause

If the payload is little huge with close to say 100 plus items then there is a read time out error due to socket time equal to 0 seconds.

Socket timeouts can occur when attempting to connect to a remote server, or during communication, especially long-lived ones. They can be caused by any connectivity problem on the network.

Resolution

Increase the socket timeout time in SOAP UI

  1. Go to Under File
  2. Choose Preferences
  3. Go to HTTP settings
  4. Maintain Socket Timeout field with 600000 ms
