How to enable / disable the Global Navigation Menu (Module Picker)?

Resolution

Starting b1802 release, SAP has implemented the "Hide Global Navigation Menu (Module Picker)" feature. This option allows to hide the Global Navigation menu from the common header area of your SAP SuccessFactors system. This enables you to make your SuccessFactors system more consistent with other SAP Cloud solutions. This feature can be maintained via the Admin Center or the backend provisioning system.

Admin Center

  1. Admin Center
  2. Company System and Logo Settings
  3. Company System Setting
  4. Enable/disable "Hide Global Navigation Menu (Module Picker)"

Provisioning Settings (For Partners and SAP Product Support):

  1. Go to Provisioning > Company Settings;
  2. Enable/disable "Hide Global Navigation Menu (Module Picker)".

Note: Enhanced Main Navigation Menu

Starting H2 2023 release (aka b2311 release) We've enabled some visual changes to the main navigation menu by default.

The following changes are automatically enabled:

  • The menu includes icons that represent each product area. (those icons cannot be customised, however you can turn off the feature see further down)

  • The menu is organized into three sections: Home, standard links to the main product areas, and custom links that are configured in your system.

  • Standard links are now sorted alphabetically, based on the user's locale.

This feature improves usability and user experience. These enhancements are enabled by default. You can disable them by deselecting the Show icons and use alphabetical order in the main navigation menu setting on the Company System and Logo Settings page.
