2631586 - Compensation Worksheet is Failing to Launch

Symptom

When launching Compensation Worksheet the following error occurs:

This scheduled job failed to complete. For details, please contact SuccessFactors customer support.com.successfactors.jobscheduler.ScheduledJobExecutionException: com.successfactors.sca.service.ServiceLegacyRollbackException: DAOException caught: SQLException while creating CompPlanEntryBean

Reproducing the Issue

After launching forms you receive this error:

The error in the logs says the the value is too long:

Cause

The behavior occurs because of this piece of code in the xml:

<comp-ect-input-field-map componentType="jobInfo" fieldName="job-code.description"/>
</comp-field-definition>

Resolution

  1. Remove ".description"
  2. Upload the xml back into the instance
  3. Relaunch the forms.
