This KBA is part of the HANA Basic How-To Series and will talk about creating and implementing an SSL Certificate for HANA 2.0 Cockpit using a Microsoft Certificate Authority as an example. But you can use any other CA as well. Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

The following components were used for this tutorial:

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3
  • SAP HANA 2.0 Cockpit SP05
  • XSA Version 1.0.74 & 1.0.126, see below Step 4 & 5 for additional information.
  • Microsoft Certificate Authority, this CA is just an example. You can use any other CA. If you experience issues with the signing process please get in touch with the CA vendor.
