2633213 - Intercompany Sales Order Cannot Be Released Due To Errors

You cannot release an Intercompany Sales Order as several error and warning messages are displayed:

• 'Postal code, street, and P.O. box in address of Account and Bill-To party missing',
• 'City in address of Account and Bill-To party missing',
• 'Postal codes, street, and, P.O. box in address of Ship-To party missing',
• 'City in address of Ship-To party missing'.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Sales Order work center.
2. Go to the Sales Order view.
3. Search for Sales Order AAA and select it (AAA stands for the Sales Order ID).
4. Click Edit, then View All.

Several error and warning messages are raised:

'Postal code, street, and P.O. box in address of Account and Bill-To party missing',
'City in address of Account and Bill-To party missing',
'Postal codes, street, and, P.O. box in address of Ship-To party missing',
'City in address of Ship-To party missing'.

1. Go to the Account Management work center.
2. Go to the Account view.
3. Search for Account XYZ (XYZ being the Account ID).
4. Open it and navigate to the General tab.

You can see that city ABC is maintained in the Address section (ABC stands for the city).

You updated the Account Master Data after the Sales Order was created from the Purchase Order. The Sales Order cannot be updated since data comes from the Purchase Order in an Intercompany scenario.
The Sales Order only performs a check on the Account Master Data to ensure that they match. If they do not, error messages are raised.

You have to create a new Purchase Order to have a new Sales Order with the updated information.

Please note for Purchase Orders created by copy:

If addresses match across documents and accounts, ensure that the Customer Account maintained in Delivery is the same as the account used in the Sales Order and Purchase Order.
